Hello...
...wondering about ERP, CRM, PDM, etc...I have 7 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, a BSME, and currently working on a masters in software engineering...I am basically learning how to program in C++ and Java, plus windows programming, databases, etc...
...is it better to break into the IT consulting business with an MBA or "hard" skills such as coding and previous design experience? ...obviously I am betting that the latter traits are better...but please advise if MBA is better...I choose not to get an MBA because I would not have been able to get into a top 20 mba program, and thus made the judgement that an mba would not be valued highly by employers (rightly or wrongly...) but that having previous experience as a design engineer and having used all of the bill of material systems, windchill, oracle, etc. plus getting coding skills would be better...what do you think?
