I need help in developing a business plan. I work in Michigan and I plan to specialize in cost reduction, cycle time reduction, etc for automotive suppliers.
My question: Who is the competition in the area?
My simplistic breakdown of the competition is as follows:
1. Top 50 firms (as described by Vault.com
2. Speciality Firms
3. Small Local Firms with 1-9 employees.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All that you mentioned are actually competetion. The question is which ones are your direct competetion. All consulting firms could potential bid for a job. The latter two are more in the ballpark. From what I understand there are a few botique firms that offer similar services. You need to investigate that. Good luck!!
