I'm about to hit consulting burn-out with the number of hours I've been putting in - it's currently averaging 70+ a week and has been for way to long now.
Friends tell me switching companies doesn't fix the problem - the whole industry operates on this insane schedule. I disagree.
So I want to take a survey: How many hours per week do you usually work? |

It's the pressure lately which is getting to me. The management on this project used a WAG (Wild-Ass Guess) for the estimate.
I think it varies more by the manager/partner than by the consulting company. Some are incompetent slavedrivers and others know what they are doing.
