I am currently an enrolled undergrad at a top 20 business school and plan on emphasizing in MIS. Ideally I would like to become an IT consultant, however, I am very confused as to what I should be doing right now. I know technical knowledge is important, however, it is difficult to obtain a technical related internship without prior experience. Is this all BS or is it just me? I am currently teaching myself VB, but I'm not sure that will even benefit me in the future. What can I do to improve my situation or to gain more knowledge? Should I change my emphasis all together? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
