It depends upon your skillset. I worked as an ERP consultant and was traveling 100% for a year. Then when my contract came up, I asked for more money. However, with my experience level, the consulting firm would not give me the money I wanted. I left and I'm glad I did so, because I later found out that they were laying people off.
Now with my corporate job at least I have a life and get paid even more $$$! |

I'm not in the management LOC, nor am likely to be. Instead I am a premium geekoid. They throw the tough stuff at me, and the stuff which needs to be done fast and well.
I *might* make Principal Consultant at some point, but that's as far as I go. It's alright by me.....
