Message: I am puzzled by one thing. I see a lot of folks work in traditional engineering field for a few years, then move into tech consulting in a big five, and then move into management consulting. Is that a career path? Does it mean pure engineering is the least valued job? And tech consulting (and later management consulting) is considered a step up? If that's the case, why do we all try so hard to get in and then go through engineering in college??? Why don't everyone just go into business majors? Someone please explain.
