I am currently about to get my undergrad and i know for a fact that i want to end up doing tech consulting. I currently am toying with two options. Option one is an industrial engineering degree with a minor in business admin. and computer science. Option 2 is a dual major in manegment science(business informations systems track), and international business. This second option also includes a minor in computer science. Just in case it helps, i speak english, spanish, and portuguese, and would like to do tech consulting throughout latin america and the usa. Any thoughts on which option is better? |

My advice is option 2 - that will set you up to be techo-functional. If you can play both roles, all the better. Straight tech isn't what it was back in the day - you've got to be able to interrelate with the functional folks and understand their needs (based on the client's business requirements). I'm seeing a lot more functional hires- hope this helps. Good luck!
