Looking for real "consulting" spot |

Coming out of school I've been working in the IT decision support sphere (completely different that the operational applications work that people usually associate with IT professionals). I took two years off to earn my Masters in Infomation Science (similar to an MBA but with 50% of the course work devoted to IT management and related courses such as data management and global web business). In addition to my core finance and accounting course, I took both of my 2nd year electives in finance, having worked in financial service during my pre-grad school IT career.
My goal is to move into management consulting, specializing in BI and/or CRM (hopefully in financial services, but it doesn't have to be). I want to do real consulting, not the "consulting" that IT factories like EDS or Accenture do.
Any suggestions?
