I'm "senior manager" at one of the Big-4 companies. The company went straight downhill since they went public back in 2001, but the job recession made it hard for a lot of us to find jobs elsewhere. Now things have eased up a bit, and I'm getting offers from some better companies.
I'm considering a job with Adjoined Consulting. At my current company, my title is "senior manager", but that's not as high a title as it sounds. People who "grew up with the firm" and have been promoted into that title are usually pretty young and inexperienced. I joined the company as an experienced hire, with over 7 years previous management experience (15 years total previous experience at the time) and had to start at the junior manager level and wait 2 years to be promoted to senior manager and be among people with the same title who are 10 years younger than me.
I have an MBA and PMP certification. I did some CMM work back in the late 1990s before joining my current Big-4 company. I now have over 20 years experience with IT and IT project management. What title should I be aiming at at Adjoined. What are the titles and levels at the company. I'm reasonably impressed with the company. It sure seems to have a better caliber of people than my current company.
Any info would be appreciated.
