Hi all,
I'm currently workig at a small CRM consultancy.
I'm thinking about perhaps leaving consulting to go and work as a Siebel project manager in industry for a few years. How much positive/negative impact is this likely to have if I then want to either get back to consultancy, or get out of IT altogether?
My main reasoning is the money really - I think I can make more money in industry than I can staying here, or moving to another consultancy (probably better work/life balance too). This would then let me save up for an MBA faster.
Effectviely I would be treating the job in industry as a 2/3 year long "assignment".
