Message: I was with Adjoined for 6 months. I was promised 30% travel yet it was more than 70%. I "met expectations on all my projects prior to last week. I worked 14 hours a day for three months straight on my last big project. Last week, I had one bad week where I performed poorly and I was subsequently terminated. Based on my conversations with employees inside the firm, they offer small bonuses so consider that when negotiating your offer. They skirted around the bonus issue with me. They did not offer me a sign-on bonus when I joined and did not offer me severance. I am not sure whether they offer anyone severance. That is something you should ask them. The firm offers almost no training so I feel you'd better be an experienced consultant to even consider it. The only formal training I received was a deck writing class that lasted 1.5 hours. There are some smart and talented people that work there. I did learn a lot on the one high level strategy project I worked on. However, my impression is that level of strategy work is a rarity. It is mostly supply chain and customer metrics stuff. Of the thre recent MBAs hired in the New York office, one has not been on a chargeable project since he started with the firm. The other has been doing spreadsheet analysis to support internal market research. He has not had a client-facing interaction yet. The third MBA got onto a project for a Telecom company and seems very happy. If anyone would like to speak to me about my experiences and thoughts on the firm, feel free to email me and I will get in touch with you. My email address: disgruntledman100@yahoo.com
