I've searched job boards from monster.com to brassring.com and there aren't a great deal of postings for Assistant or Associate Project Managers. Where should someone new to the industry look to gain experience? |

This is still a very tough market for PM's in any field. I have had some luck in using some of the major job boards.
Companies today still highly prize PM certification of all levels.
Refer to the top PM certification site of www.pmi.org. There are also freelance sites such as Sologig.com. Be aware that many sites charge fees to obtain contracts.
