Message: Hello folks I'm an ex- senior consultant that left the field 2 years ago for several reasons (I'm an ex PWC guy) My areas of expertise are System Integration, IT strategy, Supply chain and process improvement. I re-entered the market with a small indipendent assignment this spring. I read several message that hints to problems with IBM or Deloitte for not "adapting" to the post-bubble era and mentions to an "evolving" consulting landscape. Could someone elaborate more about this??? I need to know where I can find some resources to catch on the latest trend in consulting, what is going on in the industry, "winners" and "losers" etc.... Don't get me wrong, I subscribed to pubblications such as Meta or Gartner but what I want to know is some real inside information, this newsletters aften are glossy and full of PR (for example you will never read on it about IBM or Deloitte "problems" in the consulting industry). I look for message boards, newsletter or other type of resources with really juicy info and not much PR. For what I know seems that a goood bet is an agile boutique consulting firm specialized, with low overhead capable to compete efficiently on small-medium engagements (one of the given reality is that the time of the huge multiyear SAP contracts is over) is that correct??? Thank you in advance!!!
