I am pursuing a position as a Research Analyst at IDC's headquarters in Framingham, MA.
Can someone share some insight on the approximate pay scale at IDC or similar research firms? Also, what is cost of living like in Boston, and what is a rough salary for a recently graduated MBA?

Hi,
Could anybody give me an idea of what the estimated base salary for an IDC/Forrester/AMR Research research analyst with 2 years of experience should be?
I've been working for a boutique analyst firm for 2 years, covering 2 key markets, and am attempting to negotiate a salary increase. My employer insists that the base should not be more than 42-43k, but this seems unbelievably low, especially considering we've had no bonuses for 1.5 years and the only benefits we get are 50% health care coverage.
(The firm, by the way, is in pretty decent financial health)
Any salary ranges or advice?
