How does one apply for an Internship at a consulting firm |

This summer I have the choice between summer research at a good university, on an electrical engineering related topic, and a summer internship in a top 10 consulting firm. Which should I pick? My goal is to work in a consulting firm after college.
Do consulting firms value scientific research, or are they just interested in work experience specifically in consulting?
Note: I already have 2 summer internships from past summers under my belt. |

Hi,
Congrats on getting the offer for a consulting internship.
I am a grad student with no prior work experience but have had research experience during my MS program.
I would like to get an internship with a consulting firm but have no idea how to approach them.
Could u help me with some ideas?
