Having been an independent consultant for the past 7 years, I have been struggling with the same issues many other independent consultants have such as new business development/leads and insurance (among others). I wanted to share an AFFORDABLE service with you that has been able to augment my marketing efforts AND provide me with much needed insurance discounts (I am a family of 4 w/one on the way). The company is called Synorbis (www.synorbis.com) and for $50. per quarter they send me leads that I am qualified for, and offer discounts on insurance, hotels, legal documents, car rentals etc. The leads that I receive have the company??s contact information as well as the scope of work to be performed. I simply contact the company directly and never go through Synorbis. (No commission either) For an additional fee (don??t know how much) they will certify you as a ??Synorbis Fellow?? (they claim it will help differentiate yourself from other consultants you may be competing against).
I have used other services that claim to be lead generators for independent consultants (i.e. Prosavvy and eMoonlighter) but neither had the results or services as Synorbis (at a fraction of the cost). I liked using Synorbis because it was inexpensive, only $50 (and I could cancel anytime), I received quality leads and I was able to use their membership base for much needed discounts. I don??t have any affiliation with Synorbis, just thought someone might like to know about them.

What type of consulting do you provide. I too am having difficulty with generating leads.
