In Reply To: My company is relocating to OHIO and I am not going with them. I've been working here for four years now, and looking for one. Not much luck. Any Ideas? I am a programmer with an MIS degree from TAMU. I am managing a team of eight that is responsible for very large batch processing applications. I would take another management position but I'd rather just be allowed to be creative. Thanks
Message: You've got a real problem if you've been working four years in a batch processing environment. I don't intend to demean the job, I spent many such years myself but that was a few decades back, but it's tough to be creative in such an environment and quite frankly, it's even tougher to find a similar position. Tougher still is to break out of that environment and into the more creative world of Windows/WEB development. That, however, I'm sure you've already deduced which is why you're posting here! Before I attempt an answer, can you tell me which city and line of business you're currently working in and whether or not you're prepared to move, to places other than Ohio?
