i know that we all love to gossip, but in my experience it is always best to stay as far away from office politics as possible. in my last job (law firm), i was recruited right away to join a "side"- which group of partners will you favor, that type of thing. it's hard, but the best thing to do is smile at everyone, keep your comments to yourself (or this board, which is anonymous and way kickin!) and leave at the end of the day knowing that you haven't made any enemies. it's fun to be part of a crowd, a faction, if you will, but you'll get burned, one way or the other. STAY AWAY!
