Office politics can be ugly but it is there and you need to learn to deal with it if you plan on surviving. The better you are at it the better your chances of succeeding. It really doesn't matter how good you are at your job (in most places) but how well you are liked by management and your co-workers. |

I understand the principle of office politics, however, I try to stay away from it for years. Somehow, I don't think I can avoid the kind of politics going on and around the office regardless how much I like my job and how good at my work. Is there any way to practically learn these things? Please share advice.
