If you want to get on a good engagement, and get fast-tracked for promotion, my advice is to work your arse off. Don't even wince when they tell you that you will travel to the west coast from Boston every week for 18 months. You will essentially have no life, but you can make more money and be promoted. Travel is usually Mon-Fri. There are exceptions, but don't expect that. Work hours are at a bare MINIMUM 40, and can exceed 80. This is consulting. Welcome.
