Not sure what the exact range is but when I was an MC, I was at $80K. They merely matched my previous salary because I came from a legacy firm. I also got a good signing bonus. Don't expect that much. I was also fortunately based in a city where the cost of living is low. When you get up into the Assoc. Director and Director levels, you can really make money by selling engagements.
