Overall my experience with MS has been pretty good. You have to decide what offer is the best for your future. As far as MS not doing that well in retail, MS recently elected Gorman from Merrill Lynch to head retail. He is in the process of making significant changes to the overall well being of MS. Overall Morgan Stanley is a very promising bank, and I would recommend any intelligent individual to consider MS. Please keep in mind the same individuals who are upset with MS, are usually the same people who aren't offered jobs within Morgan Stanley. |

I am glad to hear your experience has been positive, but I can only think of one individual who has ever transferred out of Retail Ops or IT to some other part of the firm. Your description of the individuals who are upset covers almost everyone in that organization.
You are correct that MS is a company to consider, but this particular organization has not been a promising place to start a career at MS.
There is some talk of introducing mobility, but it hasn't happened yet.
