Can anyone give me some info on this group (i.e. what they do)? I've heard it's somewhat of a mix between banking and s&t - but I'm not really sure. It's hard to discern exactly what they do from the website. I also met with some people in the group, but I still am unsure.

They create and trade securitized products, i.e. CDOs, CMOs, and ABS. Bankers and structurers create deals. Sales People sell the deals. Traders trade bonds based on these deals. The group is a mix between investment banking and fixed income.
