The Retail IT group at MS has drawn a lot of well deserved criticism here over the past few years. The group, not to mention the entire company, has gotten new management in the past year, so there is some hope for improvement. However, they are still bringing in new people at higher levels than the position you are being offered. As a result, an offer such as the one you are looking at might be attractive a few years from now, but if I were you I would pass on this one and let the place sort itself out first. |

The new crop of managers are by and large hacks, sycophants, and losers with proven track records of failure elsewhere. The worst of the bunch are the crew fron Neon brought in by the former Zimbabwe plantation owner DC - whose family have abused and exploited native tenant farmers for generations in the finest traditions of British imperialism and colonialism. DP must have more been "snowblind" than usual when he green lighted this sorry lot. Look for things to bottom out big time in 2006. Gorman will certainly have his hands full when he comes on board.
