Hi,
I have got an offer for a VP role at Morgan Stanley Technology area-Retail side. What is the salary range for VP's with 15 years exp and what was the bonus % for 2005. They are offering me 125K and are not willing to commit to any bonus. Should I proceed forward?. How is the technology group?. Some people are trying to discourage me that it is a sweat shop. Is that so?. Any input is greatly appreciated. |

The Retail IT group at MS has drawn a lot of well deserved criticism here over the past few years. The group, not to mention the entire company, has gotten new management in the past year, so there is some hope for improvement. However, they are still bringing in new people at higher levels than the position you are being offered. As a result, an offer such as the one you are looking at might be attractive a few years from now, but if I were you I would pass on this one and let the place sort itself out first.
