Not too sure about Avanade, I just turned down a senior management position there, but I was an Engagement Manager at Microsoft and I can tell you diversity at Microsoft means White Women. All of the high pay oppportunities are given to them, very poor excuse for diversity if you ask me. I know that at Microsoft, a company of 60,000 there are only 800 African Americans, make of that what you will. |

Thanks for this post. It is nice to hear how Microsoft/Ananade and others are strugling with diversity issues. As an African-American, I appreciate hearing about this sort of issue. Too often, people just don't talk about it. This is definitely something worth knowing about and discussing.
