In Reply To: Currently up for a job in the Jersey City office and have been wondering a few "simple" things that I haven't been able to ask my contact. First off, regular workday environment - shirt and tie or blazer, suit, etc... Second, How is the health insurance, etc... For a family - would the contribution be 100-200 a month or 400-500 per month? Thirdly, any mass transit assistance? And lastly, is there Car service, etc for those late nights? Gym memberships, etc? These and any other basic insights would be greatly appreciated.
Message: Which group are you interviewing with in the JC office. There are three groups---Research, Operations (Clearing, Settlements, etc), and Technology. By your tag, you are probably going for a tech position. Work environment would depend on group, but generally business casual. Three health plans you can choose from, generally 200-300 for a family. No mass transit assistance, but they do offer pre-tax deduction for transit. Car service for late nights. If you are in technology, they will probably give you a laptop so that you can work from home, so not many late nights in the office---but definetly will be working at nights. And finally, there is a ML gym in JC. Hope this helps.
