I will be relocation to Atlanta later this year. Trying to do some research and gain feedback on the entertainment industry, headhunters, agencies, etc. in Atlanta. Haven't had much luck other than going directly to turnerjobs.com or individual local network web sites.
Can anyone give some insight on the opportunities (or lack of) for entertainment professionals (Film, TV, etc.) in the Atlanta area ?
Grateful for any info.

Unfortunately sweetie the biggest thing here is Turner which is where I am now. I work with the temp agency Turner temps (contact: Evelyn Powell)which will place you in what areas you want and then it's up to you to smotch for that permanent position. YOu also have the radio stations but they are just as hard. For the other networks out here you would have to start as an intern which is not whre you want to be if you have to pay the bills. Since LaFace Records is no more you have So So Def if you are interested in being real local. Or maybe Def South - Def Jam Recordings. The record industry is very hard to get into. I'm not sure what your interest in the entertainment industry is but Turner is the best in centering yourself in either broadcast, entertainment, cartoon, production, programming, corporate, etc. Check it out.
