Honestly, I'd never really thought about it. I guess they probably wouldn't want people on the outside to be able to tell if a particular practice was growing or shrinking...

The number of people in a given practice is really not proprietary information. However, the average height, weight and suit size of all male members of the practice...now that's an entirely different matter altogether.
And just to prove my point, the number of people in the organization practice is 423...or a thousand give or take a few.
Wouldn't you just kill to know how tall the average EM is?
