this is an easy choice - go to McKinsey. It's the summer it's not like you're signing up for years at this location. Also it will be a lot easier to get back to McK if you take their summer position than it will be if you don't. With Booz on the otherhand I doubt they'd give you any grief if you decided to go with them in the end but did your summer with the Firm.
The bigger issue in my mind is that these firms aren't even in the same league. You'll hear people say "the Big 4 or the Big 5" sometimes but it's generally known that M/B/B are the top firms and everyone else is on a different level. That said, maybe you don't see yourself in an M/B/B and there are a lot of other great firms out there that attract great people for a variety of reasons e.g. lifestyle, size etc.. |
