A lot of the offices have communication specialists, so if that is of interest it could be worth investigating.
For generalist consulting track specifics of your background are really less important that ablity to solve problem, proven drive and success, ability to interact with clients etc |

Although my background is communciation, I believe my problem solving ability is very strong. As for being able to interact with clients, etc. that for me is a given due to my communication background being able to facilitate, etc. One of the issues I have with my present company is that my drive is very strong and I don't believe they are utilizing to anyone's advantage. I have volunteered for added responsibilities because they are not challenging me enough. If McKinsey can use someone with my background and challenge me (I have no issues with working extra hours, etc.) I would be thrilled. If they cannot, I did not want to waste their time or mine applying. Any advice on where to go from here?
