-intern in the IT Strategy/Planning group at (the) top F500 technology company..McK does a lot of work here..been helping an EM and Associates with relatively simple tasks relating to sourcing..
- weak (3.5) gpa but otherwise outstanding background from a top 12 school which hired 2 BA??s this year. Finance & MIS majors, ran for president of undergrad body, etc..
-attended summer events with Bain&BCG. Visited McK Chicago. Didn??t get an interview last Fall. Graduate this December.
2 questions
1. Any way to apply to the BTO outside of normal campus recruiting season?
2. Should I apply once again to the Midwest office (where I wasn??t given an interview) or submit to the West Coast office this time around (where these guys work?)
I didn??t apply for BTO (and should have)..trying to evaluate my best option(s) moving forward??and figure out how to best leverage this experience.

However, keep in mind that McKinsey really cares about GPA when it comes to BA-s. So it may not work out. But in the end there are a lot of other great other opportunities out there, so don't focus too much on McKinsey.
