Thanks to timway for pointing out my mistake and generalised comment on the Asiahouse program. In fact, I have a few Chinese friends in that program who master English close to native fluency -- while speaking fluent Mandarin too.
My previous comment on the Asiahouse program resulted from my impression on the level of English testing during the interview process. As far as I understand, at least one, and often more case interviews are conducted in Chinese. It is probably more appropriate to say less English skills are assessed, but not necessarily less English skills are required.
Finally just wish to clarify I have never intended to imply the program as a "recycle bin". Sorry for any misunderstanding caused. |
