My personal impression has been that we lose a lot more people to BCG than Bain. But choices do not always depend on what the candidate decides to be a "better" firm. A significant factor to the decision could also be lifestyle, which Bain/BCG claim is better than McKinsey. |

Seriously, BCG claimed that lifestyle is much better there so I should go there when I was considering the offer. In my mind lifestyle means that I get killed Monday through Thursday, work 55 or 60 hours those 4 days and then have my weekend free. At BCG you work on the weekends quite frequently from what I heard during recruiting, i.e. 30-40% of weekends. However, BCG does claim that you travel less there, which for some may mean a better lifestyle for some.
