In Reply To: Hello, I was just wondering if there have ever been layoffs at MCK? Any ideas specially during the downturn of 2000-2001 Thanks
Message: Following the downturn, in 2001, the Firm "let go" a significant number of consultants, across all tenure ranks (2002 - 2003). The "procedure" was different for different offices. In the case of one specific european office, it was announced that "the bar was raised" in the up or out policy. Another office announced publicly that "the bar had not been raised, but the ground had fallen down a bit"! All in all about one thousand consultants of all tenure levels were caught in the process, but none was ever badly stranded.
