No, there is no formal rotation system for McK BAs (or associates for that matter). People often take a sort of "random walk" through different industries and functions, which is encouraged. (At least, it used to be - I've heard that earlier specialization is now encouraged. But that shouldn't be an issue for BAs.)
I'd be more concerned about something you mentioned in your initial post, however. I'm not familiar with the British university grading system, but if your 2.1 means that you're not in the top 5-10% of your class, it will indeed make it that much less likely that your application will even be considered.

well they dont really give out rankings in the UK, basically a 1st is the highest grade that can be obtained, followed by a 2.1 and so on. But I did a social science degree, and traditionally there are less 1st in social science degrees than in say numerical subjects. I am from a top 5 UK uni, there were 200 total in my class, and about 6 got a 1st! Any idea if its the same outside UK and if these factors are taken into consideration? Also, ne idea on how to convert the UK grade system to GPA? Thanks.
