Very interesting information.
My concern about where the best and brightest go was initially spurred by discussions with recent hires who have an APD (molecular biology, advanced materials science, etc.).
They indicated that "the best and brightest" of their "classes" (Ph.D., in general) just did not consider Consulting and McKinsey as an option. The only notable exceptions where those from Germany, wher MBAs are not so common. |

As an APD from Harvard I can tell you that some of the smartest people I know at Harvard and MIT are headed to McK next Sept. Obviously some are headed other places too.
