In Reply To: The original question wasn't "should people lie," but "do they lie?" Apparently it's been well documented that many, many people do lie on their resumes. (Didn't the former head of FEMA claim to have been a professor at some university, and when someone asked the university in question about it, they had never heard of him? or he was just a student there, or something?) Having said that: I will agree wholeheartedly with the other posters that it is a very bad idea! Don't do it.
Message: People lie to get interviews. People also lie to get into top schools. I think the moral question is more interesting.
