One more question about Moscow office, please.
What is the best time (throughout the year) to apply for Associate position as APD candidate (in terms of best chances)?
(I'm planning to finish my PhD in Moscow this summer)
How many associate vacancies\year (on an average) Moscow office offers for APD non MBA applicants?

My impression was that you should apply as soon as possible. For example, if you finish your PhD this summer, you could have applied in September-October and got interviewed in November/December. But there are people in States interviewing for international McKinsey offices right now. So I guess they are still recruiting. Anyway, call HR in Moscow (their phone number is on the website) and ask.
As for number of vacancies, I was told there is no quota - as long as you are outstanding and clear the "bar." I hope associates working in Moscow will see your post and give you a better answer.
