Hey guys,
I'm very interested in working for McK upon graduation (that is in a year after this summer). I have offers for summer jobs, and I was wondering which of the following two would be the greatest asset in my CV to land a full time at Mck next year:
a) Lazard
b) Monitor

As you imagine your summer experience will be entirely different. I think the main difference is that at Lazard you will be working on multiple teams at the same time throughout the summer. Dependent on your ability you have a good chance of working on maybe five large projects. In consultancy you typically work on 1 team at a time for perhaps the full summer. Maybe you get to be involved in 1 other thing, but that's probably going to be it. Also would you like banking? If there is a chance that you think you might actually really enjoy your experience at Lazard and think there is a certain chance you might consider going back there, it is a great name. If you think you will hate banking then pick Monitor. When interviewing next semester (Fall) it is important that you can be proud of your personal contribution over this summer so that you can positively relate to your experiences.
BTW which school do you go to? I didn't know Lazard offers were out yet.
