In Reply To: I get a feeling that you're trying to get people here to write it for you. Why don't you post what you have written, and ask for critiques. How can you convince people here that you "possess the enthusiasm and drive to achieve anything I aspire to" when you won't even put in the effort to do research on Mckinsey? How is this for a start: www.mckinsey.com. I am sure you can find the answers to "Why Consulting" and "Why Mckinsey" on that web site. I recently went through the interviewing process and got an offer. And I am here to help others. However, I get turned off when I see people who are too lazy to do even a simple google search. There are a lot of people here who can and will offer help. But please refrain from posting messages like: "Please email or send me all your study material" "Please write my resume/letter/essay" "Please send me the cases that you were given during the interview". "Please refer me to your 'contact'"
Message: Thanks for your advice, however, I feel it is not as simple as "doing a google search" or "looking at a website". I doubt very much that writing something standard like rehashing points on McK's site will get me a look at my cover letter at all, which is why I do require help. In addition, I did not ask to be referred to any contacts, send any cases or all of someone's study material, merely for someone to assist me with my cover letter.
