In Reply To: I will be beginning my MBA in the fall, most likely at chicago, and would like advice on how to pursue an internship with a U.K./European office. The final goal would be to secure a full-time offer in one of those offices. Which of the following options would you recommend in order to do so: Option 1: Recruit during normal chicago recruiting process and indicate preference for abroad office(can this be done or only for full-time placement?) option 2: study abroad during the spring term and try to do local recruiting while in that country and hopefully that will produce a job offer for the following year option 3: intern here in the united states and if offered a full time position indicate my preference for an international office thanks for the insight E
Message: Yes, it can be done. The UChicago recruiting team recruits for all McK offices globally. Option 2 is just crazy. Option 3 is not kosher -- if you intern in an office, you're expected to rejoin that office full time. Rebounding is possible for SAs with permanent offers, but frowned upon unless the circumstances are outside your control. If you already know you want to be in Europe, intern in europe.
