In Reply To: He has posted these idiotic ramblings about why there is no difference between McK and Booz or other top 7 firms in various consulting message boards in the past. Generally, people end up ignoring him. He has also been caught lying before--he is lying when he gives everyone an impression that he went to Wharton MBA. I don??t really understand his motive for these posts. Maybe he is really bitter because he got dinged on the 1st round with McKinsey but got an offer with Booz or DC and spent couple of years there. Here are some things other posters (and himself) have said about Whartonkid: --- Management and Strategy Consulting Board, #145 ??Firm Rankings?? ??Wharton MBAs?? Author: whartonkid Date: Sep 11, 2005 6:54 PM EST Well, I went to Wharton undergrad, not MBA. But as far as the Wharton MBAs being "insecure", they don't have anything to be insecure about. The name speaks for itself -- which is why I chose the Wharton vs. Yale analogy to ilustrate the prestige fallacy among uninformed people. --- Management and Strategy Consulting Board, #43 ??McKinsey or BCG?? ??please don't listen to this guy!?? Author: West Carolina Date: Nov 24, 2005 7:21 PM EST Folks, if you don't remember whartonkid's ridiculous postings from a few months ago, it's worth paying for gold membership just to read them. For one thing, he talks about how he's a wharton senior, and now he says he spent 4 years post-b-school. I don't know what he is except an embarrassment to everyone in Huntsman Hall. Don't listen to a word he says. There are big differences between the firms and the work you'll be doing if you join them. Only someone very childish and naive would claim otherwise. Discovering these differences is the point of the recruiting process. --- Management and Strategy Consulting Board, #150 ??Applying to M/B/B with an ICS degree cross-posted?? Author: T. Herman Zweibel Date: Sep 10, 2005 10:05 AM EST This is replied to elsewhere. Whartonkid, please don't embarrass your alma mater by your lack of netiquette: post a single message in one place.
Message: Thanks for clarifying what that person is all about. I have run across another person who posts inappropriate questions or statements on numerous message boards. I responded helpfully to one of his/her postings. When I realized who I was dealing with, I stopped replying. Thanks again.
