I will begin my MBA in the Fall, most likely at chicago or harvard, and would like to know which program would give me the upper edge for a career in consulting. Also, I was curious - if hired into the same office are the job offers identical for both schools or are harvard grads paid more than chicago grads? I desire to work Europe and would need to decide if Chicago's ability to study abroad (and recruit abroad) outweigh the "harvard" name.
Thanks for any insight

Undergrad - thanks for your insight into my questions regarding the differences in offers between different schools and recruiting for offices abroad
acn - I can assure you it was not my intention to pick an mba program based on the job offers to a specific program. I was just curious if salaries are different(paying off a larger loan to hbs since chicago offered me a substantial scholarship) and if I had the same chance of working abroad without studying abroad (gsb offers study aborad whereas hbs doesnt)
You defend chicago with a passion as I have seen from a number of its grads and thus far from my experience the school has lived up to its expectation. ...as for locking myself in the library, you are better of trying the bar with my fellow students. I'll be taking all of the items you mentioned into consideration when making my final decision. So far, in academic flexibility and study abroad opportunities chicago seems to be the better fit but if I am fortunate enough to get into HBS (i find out tomorrow) it would be hard to turn down the most recognized mba program (rankings shmankings)
