For all your responses. I figured just as much but was wondering what the "official" stance is on online MBA's. I've almost completed one, it's taken quite a bit of work and you can't rely on group work to get you through some areas that you might be weaker in but nevertheless, you are completely alone and with no networking. |

There is no offical stance. I find it interesting that recruiter musings are taken as such. The tripe about networking and contacts is not only uninformed, it confuses the purpose of that education.
The field of education is undergoing its own Internet revolution. Schools like MIT and Stanford are producing distance scholars. The tipping point is approaching.
The argument against reminds me of the RIAA railing against the ideas of Lawrence Lessig and James Boyle.
