Hello,
I'm about to graduate from a top 30 US MBA program and I was just contacted by McK about an associate opportunity in my home country.
I am one of those people that never really cared about grades, mostly because in my country they never matter and they are anyway just a reflection of how good you are at reproducing what's written in the books. And old habits die hard, I guess.
I also take the most difficult classes because I think that's where I'll learn the most. I don't see why you'd preffer an easy A to a really hard worked B+.
That being said, how unnaceptable is a 3.2 GPA (that about how much I had in my undergrad too) and a 710 GMAT.
Thank you.

Generally GPA is very important to an application, but McKinsey does look at the whole package. I would ordinarily say that you would have a very slim chance for a position in a U.S. office, but there might be something in your cultural background (i.e., grades really don't matter to people back home) that makes you attractive to your home country office.
Either way the only way to find out is to apply. Good luck!
