Thank you very much for the reply.
i have some other q's if u dont mind..
1- Regarding the interview, did they go through the resume again and ask q's about it in round 2?
2- The problem i have about the leadership part is that i dont know if what i'm going to say is good enough for eg. "I was part of a group consisting of 4 members and a leader working on a project on the XX industry, during our meetings some key issues like (xxx, xxx, xx..) were ignored and i tried to illustrate the importance of these key issues and how they would give great significance to the project. However, at first, the team leader did not agree with these issues but in fact it was obvious by the whole team that they were what the project was missing. After showing the facts and summarizing how our project will turn out to be both with or without (my key issues), the team leader agreed that they were in fact very important and should be an essential part of the project. Feedback on our report from our professor was that the (key issue's) idea was very original and an excellent way in adressing the (certain issue in project).
Did i show that i was a good McK style team player? or did i not mention some key points? Or was it even wrong to mention that my team leader diagreed at first? Should i mention the process of including these (key issues) where i took lead and got the info we needed in order to include them? see where im going?
I have alot of examples like the previous and im always an active player in them, but mentioning the right info is the problem.
3- Achievements: I mentioned that i managed a portfolio during the last 2 years of college (Finance Major). I managed it myself, i put huge effort into it and generated handsome returns. Should i stress on the returns or should i stress on my efforts? or should i stress on managing my own portfolio at an early age? which is the achievement?.. and is this even considered an achievement?
I really do apologize for the extremely long reply but its my first career opportunity and i dont want to mess things up.
Thank you very much |

You may want to hone down more in the interaction you had with the team leader. According to your story, you showed him some facts and summarized some info, but was that really enough to convince him?
You'll have to talk more specifically about how you were able to convince him by other means than just "facts based" reasoning.
