In Reply To: I was wondering how fast the interview process moves. From the time they notify you that you are selected to the first round, how much time before the initial interview. Also, what things should be done to prepare before finding out whether or not you have been selected so as to best prepare? thanks.
Message: The timing varies widely by office, school, practice. It depends how you applied. I do HBS recruiting, and the whole cycle time moves pretty quickly. Roughly 3 weeks from interview invitation to interview, then probably 2 days from first interview to offer. If you have to go to the actual office for 2nd/3rd rounds, the process will take longer.... As for what you should do, that pretty simple, practice cases. There are a number of books on the topic, but my best advice to to practice them with friends/classmates. Practice giving as well as receiving (cases, that is).
