I think it depends upon how you approach it. For example, I read that HBS grads traditionally have a lot of leverage/advantage with McKinsey compared top other top MBA grads. Is it unethical for a HBS grad to fully squeeze out his network grid when applying for a McKinsey role or for other professional opportunities?
Obviously, one cannot expect a job simply because his/her father is the President of the country. However, leveraging one's family network seemed to have happened before, i.e., Ms Clinton getting associate role instead of BA.
