Hi foxylady12 - congratulations on getting through.
Sorry to hijack your post. I remember you from the lowest GPA thread. Since you've gotten in, could you offer any advice on non-GPA distinctions for the initial cut? What sort of leadership examples were useful for you in the PEI?

I found my old GPA post and am copying it here, so other interested parties don't have to search through the board.

My Own Low GPA--Success Story

I am currently embroiled in the McKinsey APD recruiting process, and can offer my own data point as an example.
I had a 2.9 undergrad GPA (chemistry from Harvey Mudd, a very competitive institution, but probably not well-known to McKinsey) and a 3.6 in grad school (an institution from which they recruit). I made the resume cut.
You can safely conclude from this that there is no automatic GPA filter. I knew my GPA was a weakness and took care to provide concrete examples of my intellectual ability in the rest of my application.
I also addressed my GPA in the cover letter. It was, I admit, a bit of a risk as it brought to their attention a particular deficiency. But, I explained how the traits which led to my low GPA also would make me an excellent consultant. I don't know if this is generally advisable, but it worked for me!
Best of luck!
